Why crying is literally good for you
Tears. The crying kind, I mean.
They're often called a sign of weakness. "Why are you crying!"
Well, there's actually a good reason.
It turns out emotional tears are one of the best ways for our bodies to release cortisol.
When are stressed out, there is a lot of this "stress hormone" floating around.
Shedding it is our bodies taking care of themselves.
Releasing tears is releasing cortisol is releasing tension is putting you, not your stress, back in control.
Tears are not weakness. Tears are a tool.
