Teach yourself and others.
You offer classes?
Individual mental wellness resources are a fantastic place to start, but LivingWith has a vision to bring fully explained and easily teachable mental health curriculums to life. We are currently working on creating content that pulls from various therapeutic modalities to explore:
Why mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of
How to adapt coping skills for your own personal use
Determining and asserting needs and boundaries
Building a support network and asking for help
Building self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-acceptance
I can’t teach myself!
You might be surprised. I’ve seen many of these concepts taught by non-professionals, to individuals with no previous exposure, some of whom were children. Of course, the teachers had plenty of valuable resources and material at their disposal - that’s where LivingWith comes in. Our classes are designed to be:
Accessible - simple language, clearly spelled out ideas
Practical - Lessons are built around real-world skills
Science-based - As possible, we show the whys behind what we’re doing
Step-by-step - We lay out the framework and everything you need to know
Adaptable - We provide trouble-shooting. Different people need different things!
Do you have any examples?
As a matter of fact, I do! See sample lessons below, available in both video and PDF worksheet format.
